Do you have to be "out of your gourd" to own a gourd? :?

It's a little large, but what a looker! I'll bet it's a superb smoker too.

If this didn't have the saddle bit then it would right on. I really love the work on the band...nice touch.

I usually don't like saddle bits, but a lovat just isn't a lovat without the finishing touch of a nice little saddle bit. A lovat is about the only shape I like with a saddle bit. I'll bet it's a comfy bit too.

Claudio and Daniella don't make bad pipes! My ideal smoker is very similar to the picture that you posted:

The bowl is larger than I would like, but that's a small price to pay. Of course, the sticker price is the only hurdle!

I've got one of those, it's a nice pipe, not one of my absolute favorites, but a good smoker.

Viewing all these gorgeous pipes is turning me green with envy and I'm having to struggle spiritually to subdue these strong "I wish I owned that" feelings, along with dealing with my post surgery pain. It's nice to "listen" to your chatting in the forum, however.

Gorgeous pipes! I'm guessing the cost of such pipes is from above $300 and possibly closer to the $600 range? These are the first photos I have ever seen of carved, decorative silver or nickel bands! Sharp! Very sharp!

Thanks for sharing these photos. I enjoy them.

Here is one with silver from one of the same makers for $185.

Thanks. Wow! Impressive pipe and no doubt a reasonable price.
I have not heard of Claudo Cavicchi pipe maker in Italy. Will add this name to my pipe-makers list. Just fun to visit these from time to time to see what's out there.

Thanks again. I'm increasingly left with high regard and great appreciation and actually "awe!" when seeing the expertise and talent involved to produce such works and at times I think "this is art!" Too "pretty" to smoke some of them.  Kinda feel like they should be placed in a glass case and sat on the mantel idea.

Say MacGuru,

That's a cool pipe! I'd like to have this one also! I don't own any pipe that is self-standing. Most I've seen have longer shanks or stems and are not bent as much as this one. something about it's general shape appeals to me also. :)
