I spent many summer afternoons as a youth sitting beside the pool with a packet of Fun Dip.

No, those are my favorites.
I left out black licorice ice cream, which sadly is difficult to find anymore

Love Bottle Caps and Fun Dip. My favorite as a kid was Marathon bars. They don't make them anymore. Anyone remember them? Another favorite was Pop Rocks but not so much because of the taste.

I recall Marathon Bars quite fondly as they tasted great, if I had a loose tooth there was nothing better for getting it out. (Loose fillings as well).
Go to Old Time Candy, Cadbury Curly Wurly's are made the same way, in addition they have many of the older (and once thought lost) candies I recall as a kid.

Cadbury Eggs
There are many terrible attributes of the lowly cob. Not the least of them is that it makes you look like a doof.

Now, those are good! But last Easter, I bought so many on clearance the week after Easter, that I got tired of them, so I handed the rest out for Halloween. In all matters other than tobacco and spirits, I'm a real cheapskate. Marathon bars: was that the one with a sort of spiral on chocolate covered caramel? Really long? I liked those. Simple, but good.

My mom has some grammatical peculiarities. She called Squirrel Nut Zippers "Squirrel Nuts." Once, my brother was rather embarrassed in Sears. Mom was looking for a massager. She shouted out at the top of her lungs "where are your vibrators?"

I'm sorry but most of what you all have posted is sinfully wrong.
The correct answer is Jolly Ranchers.

Del are you old enough to remember when they came in those long, thin strips?

Best candy ever made?
Turtles.
And it's not even close.
