Speaking strictly in terms of poesy, “shorn scrotum” has a lovely sound and rhythm (if you can divorce its sound from its meaning).

Both sibilant and anapestic, the term would be well-used in a limerick!

There once was a man from North Odom...

Of all the CPS things I've heard...this ranks near the top.
Nearly audible laughter.

Lovely and heartwarming. Thanks for posting it JMG.
Kinda makes me miss my granddaughters. Haven’t seen them since September.

Fred, my (our) shock -- still being felt -- is that our first born will reach 60 years on Sep. 2021 !!!! That gives my wife and I both, a psychological, inner deep shock unlike anything else and the word "OLD" almost suffocates me!

Such a strange phenomenon to me that the older I get the quicker time seems to pass on by. Every day goes by faster with every day I live. "The days are long, but the season is short."

I recently had a conversation with my dad about this. He just turned 62, I’m 33. My oldest is 5 and I can’t even imagine her at 33. But one day she’ll be 33 and I will be the old man. Best not to dwell on this. :egor:

Dwell on it? Hell, I looked forward to it. From the oldest to the youngest I had kids at home for more than 25 years so I was plenty glad to get the last one out.
Just kidding.
Not really.

:rotfl: I remember being like 23 years old, just bumming around my parents house one day and generally being annoying and my dad said “don’t you have some place to be? Ya know, elsewhere?” I got the hint! I seem to be a thread detailer lately (always?) but I will say, being friends with my dad as an adult is one my greatest blessings.

in general -
Dads want to raise up their children so they can make their own way in the world. The sooner the better.
Moms want to protect their children from the struggles of the world. As long as possible.

I wish I knew how to post a photo! Right now I'm smoking a VIKING pipe by Nording. I've really enjoyed it for severtal days how. It smokes well, with few re-lights, which is relaxing, especially if I'm reading book and don't want to be interrupted by reaching for my lighter and re-igniting! :)
