Quickly coming up to the 14 year anniversary of when I started this thread.

MB VA Flake in a Peterson Ebony. Not sure shape, but the smallest pipe I own. Also the lightest.

Early in the evening it was MB Vanilla Flake in a Savinelli and earlier today it was MB VA Flake in a Rossi.

Condor flake (courtesy of arank87) in the meer bent billiard.
Thoughts?
I wasn't feeling 100% well at the time I smoked it, so that bowl wasn't the best - can't fault the tobacco though. I shouldn't have been smoking that day, and I chose a pipe with too large a chamber as well. I smoked it again last night in a Pietenpauw lovat made from african leadwood (denser/heavier than briar, but less porous & less prone to ghosting - very flavor-neutral) and I enjoyed it much more. I think there's enough for one more small bowl, for which I will be revisiting the Pietenpauw. I find Condor Long-Cut to be a pretty straightforward, no-frills, single-note blend that is best smoked in a smaller pipe (another reason it didn't go so well in my meer, which isn't small). If it were available for purchase in America I would likely keep some in-stock, but (fortunately for me) it's not something that I can't live without. Gawith Hoggarth has many fine lakeland blends that I enjoy just as much - and there's also St. Bruno. Thanks again for sharing this sample with me. And if there are any CPSers who have Condor sitting around and they don't know what to do with it, it would be my pleasure to destroy it for you in a series of small fires.

Today, smoking something completely different - Green Dragon (from The Country Squire) in the meer bent billiard. I'm currently experimenting with it in different pipes, trying to see what works best. Early opinion on Green Dragon after a couple bowls is that it is a pleasant, mild VA ribbon, with a bit of natural sweetness. Could be an all day smoke. Nothing cloying here - sorry JimVH. At this point I do not anticipate reordering after finishing smoking through the 4oz that I bought - not because it isn't any good, but it's just not standing out so much in the crowded field of blends that I enjoy.

I tend to find the doctrinal books often more helpful in devotion than the devotional books.... I believe that many who find that "nothing happens" when they sit down, or kneel down, to a book of devotion, would find that the heart sings unbidden while they are working their way through a rough bit of theology with a pipe in their teeth and a pencil in their hand.

OGS with some coffee before the sun came up. I'll finish the bowl when the girls take naps.

I am trying some St Bruno flake today in my Pete donegal rocky. So far, I am not sure. It is not an english blend but certainly British in the "you don't see that kinda stuff 'round here" way. Definitely flowery for sure.
