Enjoying Kramer’s Father Dempsey in my Northern Briars bent billiard. Me thinks the good Padre knew a thing or two about tobacco.
I have a tin of this sitting in my cart.

And at the moment, Dark Star in a 2010 POY. A cup of Earl Grey on the side.
I order this and 4oz bulk of the Cary Grant. I thought I liked the Grant, now I wish I had 4oz of the Father Dempsey instead. I find it to be a very smooth and pleasurable smoke. I will be ordering more of Father Dempsey, probably next time in bulk.

C & D Red Carpet in a Peterson bent bulldog. My first bowl of this stuff. I like it. I like it a lot. Maybe the best VaPer, for my taste, that I 've had. Enough perique to be zippy without being overpowering. Pity I'm not rolling in dough. I'd order twenty tins of this for the cellar right now if I could afford it.

Well, you'll have to wait. The bulk Dempsey is out of stock.

I’m in no rush as my next tobacco order is going to be from The County Squire, going to try 3 of their blends.

G&H Dark Flake Scented in a MM Patriot. I only keep about 4 corncob pipes, but they are all well seasoned at this point. I treat them like a meerschaum or clay, basically as something that never leaves the house. I am from Eastern Ky. I don't need any help feeling like a hayseed. Like them or hate them, they are undeniably a dry smoke.

Hearth & Home Viprati, Virginia-Perique in a bent Posella Brandy

Experimenting with some new Virginias and VaPers, hoping to find something close to McClelland. Viprati won't do I'm afraid.

I keep going back and forth between PS Optimum and the Father Dempsey, yesterday the PS in the morning this afternoon the good Father. Not sure if I am a true English fan, but, I think I will keep a tin of Father Dempsey around for when that mood strikes me.

Perfectly enjoyable smoke of LNF in my Addis Dublin. Now if the Indians can score one more run in he bottom of the 9th . . . . .

Edited to add that Gomes hit a two run homer to win the game for the Indians, a good smoke and a good game makes for quite a nice day.

I'm smoking the blend for Cary Grant this evening, in the 2010 POY. I like it. The first pass actually reminds me of the old Edgeworth Ready Rubbed from the 80s, in a way.

Good. I don’t think it is bad, I just much prefer the Dempsey. By the way my can was dated 12/28 and I opened it in March.

Right now I am smoking the first bowl of Parson’s Blend in my Northern Briars and have a cup of Black Currant tea with it.

A sample of McClelland 40th arrived today from a good CPS brother and I piped it this evening. All I have to say is "Oh, My! What a a heavenly Virginia Flake!" Never tasted anything like it. It immediately sent me on a hunt to find 40th on ebay and I found what at this late stage of the game seemed like a good deal, so I got 5 more 100g tins to add to the meager four I have thanks to Drax telling me about a Pittsburgh, PA B&M that had those. Embarrassed to say what I had to pay for these last 5, but glad I now have them. They will bring me great pleasure.
