Peacehaven in a Savinelli 920ks bent dublin.
I tend to find the doctrinal books often more helpful in devotion than the devotional books.... I believe that many who find that "nothing happens" when they sit down, or kneel down, to a book of devotion, would find that the heart sings unbidden while they are working their way through a rough bit of theology with a pipe in their teeth and a pencil in their hand.

Gold Block. I'm beginning to see where Hugo's coming from. The more you smoke the more taste it has, and the more taste it has, the worse the flavor, until the flavor begins to lose its appeal. It's not an every day smoke.

With morning coffee: Gawith, Hoggarth & Co. bulk Scotch Flake in an oversized Tinsky bent Poker.

A very sweet 100% Virginia tobacco, Scotch Flake is a combination of flue cured Virginias from Brazil and Zimbabwe, augmented with a smaller amount of sun cured to add sweetness and body. Similar in content to Broken Scotch Cake, it's darker appearance is a result of it being pressed prior to slicing into flakes.

I like it. Despite it's lack of burley (virginia/cavendish blend) it seems like a really high-quality OTC drug store type of blend. The topping is semi-sweet (I'm getting hints of chocolate/nougat) without being overpowering, and it's less goopy than comparable Lane bulks IMO. Mild strength on the N scale. Pleasing aroma for all. I'm not much for aromatics, but I would buy it again. Probably not a daily smoke for me, but it's nice to change things up sometime - especially when you want to smoke something that will be pleasing for all in the room.

This being touted as their "Signature blend" at The Squire, I figured I had to include a couple ounces of it in my order.
