The psychiarist in "Overboard" with Goldie Hawn and Kirk Russel (a very funny movie, btw) had a pipe. Didn't smoke it though. Very affectatious.

Was watching the Discovery Channel... I think it was something about history of chainsaws or something. Showed a family in their living room... I think was supposed to be from the 70's. Dad was smoking a pipe.

(A fun movie by the way. We wern't impressed when we saw it 20 years ago, but there's more in it than at first "take").
prolly only funny to those who are gallbladderless.. did your wife like it, or just you?
Just for the record, it was 1992 or 93, I was in 7th grade - saw it in the theatre: first date, first kiss. woot.

I have one that was passed down to me from my grandpa. It's a nice smoke, even if I haven't in a while.

Also, I watched Life Aquatic last night with my wife... Owen Wilson's character is a pilot who smokes (poorly) a billiard. It's not really mentioned just shown as part of his character.

Currently watching Andy Griffith with the kids. Barney was just reminicing about lighting matches on a rock on his dad's desk and holding them to his dad's pipe.

Saw PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: DEAD MAN'S CHEST yesterday afternoon. Davy Jones smokes a large bent pipe and blows smoke from his facial tentacles.

Awesome. And he lived to be, what, 93?

Well, that didn't last long. Can't find that photo on any of the stories now...

Here's another of President Ford and his pipe, taken during a National Security Council meeting in 1975

Yes, 93. Longest lived of any U. S. President. And to think, if he hadn't smoked that nasty old pipe, he might be alive today.

Here is another that I think shows the real side of the man. I will miss him.
