A pump action in the field? I salute you, dead eye.
I missed this conversation the first time around. Not a Wingmaster, unfortunately. It’s the 870 Express, the poor man’s 870. I have to be good with it as I can’t afford a double. It’s been a rock solid gun, if heavy and a little chunky. I would love to have a lightweight double someday, it would be easier on my arthritis to be sure. I didn’t go out today because my left hand wasn’t up to the stress of working the slide.

That being said, I’ve hunted rabbits, pheasants, Turkey, and had it set up for deer at one point. A more workman like shotgun you won’t find.
That's high praise, Sir.

More in keeping with the spirit of the thread: I smoked a Parodi cheroot on Saturday while cleaning the garage and looking at this.

I can tell you I’m NOT smoking in here, which is a cryin’ shame. Spending a good chunk of my day off working on my own projects, but there is no smoking on campus. :(

DL and I reclined on my couch Sunday afternoon while smoking pipes, sipping Bourbon, and discussing life. I believe he has the better picture the Missus took as the evening was winding down.

There is much good here.

I was not sure where to post this, but the theme of this post centers around my home away from home here in Roanoke, Milans Tobacco.
This afternoon was likely my last visit for the foreseeable future as I am moving Saturday.
When I arrived at the shop today, one of my friends presented me with a framed picture from our recent fishing trip on Dunlap Creek.
Shortly thereafter, the owners, Dave and Renee', gave me a very nice Charatan from the mid 1960s in the Skater shape.
At work today, I received many well wishes along with some small gifts including some nice peach brandy.
My 22 months here have certainly produced some treasured souvenirs, but not the kind that can be bought or won at a carnival.

Your time in Ronoke was wonderful, Judge. I’m sure leaving is difficult, but how wonderful to have made such good friends there and to leave with such meaningful momentoes of those friendships.

Very nice indeed, Judge. Congrats.
I'm old but I'm happy. (Most of the time.)
