C&D Tobaccos on Sale

Post by UncleBob » Tue Apr 10, 2018 9:04 am

I saw that C&D bulk tobaccos are 15% off at Smokingpipes.com. That makes on burley blend about $23/lb!

Sale ends on the 23rd. I'm thinking about ordering an oz of each blend that I've never smoked before, except perhaps for Crowley's, which just seems a little overboard to me. Too much like a novelty. Anyone here tried it recently?

What do you mean by, "novelty"? Are you referring to the description or the actual blend itself?
It's not available because if you try it you will die. Your face will melt off and your children will weep over your exploded body. --Colton

I was just looking at the description. Per TR some really like it apparently.

Thanks, UB, but as a rule I do not enjoy C&D tobaccos. They are heavy on Burley.

I saw that. I'm thinking of ordering maybe 4 oz each of Burley Ribbon Cut, Cube Cut Burley and Dark-Fired Kentucky. I've had the cube cut before and it was pretty good but haven't had the other two except as components of other blends. Ought to be interesting.

If they would offer Black Frigate and Blockade Runner in bulk...I like Bayou Nights and Snug Harbor, but I have a plenty of those right now. Next time they do a bulk sale maybe I'll cash in
