Who Smokes A Pipe?

Post by arank87 » Wed Oct 23, 2019 11:05 am

I thought it would be interesting to get an up-to-date picture of who smokes a pipe and how much. I keep seeing people refer to a non-smoking group amongst us (which I am not judging for the record!) . Just curious.

8-10 bowls per week, right now.

I chose monthly, mainly because I tend to miss a few weeks in between.

Smoking is essentially a default leisure activity for me. Many converging factors have to take place (naturally or forced) for the opportunity to arise.

2, and sometimes 3 bowls per day. Some of my pipes are large and I enjoy them most

Generally one or two every night. I'd smoke less, but after reading Tuttle's post, I feel obligated to help keep the group average up.
I don't always choose sig lines just to tick someone off, but when I do, it's on CPS.

Three to four bowls daily. Also a cigar several times a week.

I try to smoke a bowl on the way to work, on the way home after work, and then a third if I'm lucky.

Most times weekly, sometimes bi-weekly. If I open a good tin, I will smoke it daily until it's gone.

My smoking is a hobby, and is sporadic. But most times I can say I have a daily smoke.

Oh, I thought this was going to be what sort of man smokes a pipe. Good job avoiding that one, sir!

I put daily because its daily. Somedays more, somedays even more, but daily.

I put daily, but that is an average. I sometimes go 2 or 3 or 4 days without, but I sometimes smoke 3 or 4 bowls in an evening or afternoon so it averages out roughly to once a day. I too, have more than one pipe...and we will leave it at that 8)

I'd like to get myself up to that level of enjoyment again.

It tastes better at a bowl-a-day.

Had to quit 18 months ago because of my new job requirements. Will start up again if the policy changes or I retire, which ever comes first.

I didn’t vote because there wasn’t a good option. That’s a typical problem I have with voting.

I suspect you would think I should vote “I quit” because I haven’t smoked a pipe in a year or two. But I still own my pipes and a tobacco cellar with no intention of getting rid of it because I hope to incorporate it back into my routine eventually. I did smoke a cigar two months ago.
