Cabbie's Mixture in a cob.
I tend to find the doctrinal books often more helpful in devotion than the devotional books.... I believe that many who find that "nothing happens" when they sit down, or kneel down, to a book of devotion, would find that the heart sings unbidden while they are working their way through a rough bit of theology with a pipe in their teeth and a pencil in their hand.

Hello FredS
It sounded better when the voices in my head were saying it.

So...Penny went to bed early and I had a project to work on last night. My project hit the skids so to speak so I filled my biggest pipe, Teipen Lumberman, with G&H Dark Flake and I smoked for an hour. It was very nice

Amen, and amen. I haven't smoked Dark Flake, but I've got a lot of Dark Plug jarred, and I am of the understanding that these are basically the same blend in flake/plug form. For me the plug requires a bit of work to keep lit, and an above average number of relights, but the flavor and the sheer strength of it are so rewarding. Haven't tried it in the 11 yet though - I usually smoke the plug in one of my smallest bowls.

Yup it is a powerful bold smoke and the 11 is a great pipe...a good combo for a late night smoke then off to bed

G. L. Pease - Montgomery (Fog City Selection) in the large bent JoeGoat Scoop I. It's an O.K. blend. Just O.K. I got a tin due to it being in the Fog City Selection of mostly Virginia blends, but I like some other of the Fog City Series better.
