God is good my friends, he is good

Post by Jocose » Wed Jul 18, 2012 3:34 am

He is good and his love endures forever.

When you're down, when you're broken, when you're sick, when you've been slandered, when false accusations arise against you, when you've been cheated, abused, used, manipulated, when enormous storms rise against you and it looks hopeless.. He is there with you.

He see's all, he is a strong tower, he will lift you up, he will hide you beneath his wing. He loves you. Praise to God, bow before him. He makes all things beautiful in his time.

He will keep your foot from stumbling, even when you fall you shall not be utterly cast down, He will hold you up.

Peace, Joy, rejoice my friends.

Give thanks

2 Corinthians 4:7-11 wrote:7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us. 8 We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; 9 persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; 10 always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. 11 For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.

Yes!

God will keep you (He will do it!) and God is faithful. He is trustworthy.

1 Cor 1
8 He will also keep you firm to the end, so that you will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ. 9 God is faithful, who has called you into fellowship with his Son, Jesus Christ our Lord.

I like that. I have heard the athiests rage about "well, if God is so good, why doesn't he just end all the suffering on earth" and such drivel. God is good because He gave humans freewill, and the freedom to discover his goodness for ourselves!

Ah! We're traversing to the upside on the ongoing oscillations. That's refreshing.
Just a sec... I'm graphing them. Soon we'll have your period. Now the only question is how to measure the amplitude.

We all have our mood cycles. Some are more obvious about it than others.
Would you like it if I graphed yours too?

Jocose has obvious cycles and he spares CPS not at all.

You were the little kid who had to have a bandaid too, when anyone got one for a scrape, right?

Rusty, don't be so quick to assume that things are looking up for Jocose. Sometimes - even in the midst of turmoil - Christians find great hope in the goodness and power of God. Not only after times of trouble, but during those times. Jo didn't say that things are hunky dory. Take another look at what he wrote:
Jocose wrote:He [God] is good and his love endures forever.

Aren't you glad that God knows the future?

Psalm 121:8
The LORD shall preserve thy going out and thy coming in from this time forth, and even for evermore.

What's that old song?

Because he lives
I can face tomorrow
Because he lives
All fear is gone
Because I know...
I know He holds the future
And life and is worth the living
Just because he lives

Amen
