No DUI for my son, glory be to God

Post by peter cornbriar » Wed Sep 09, 2015 9:40 am

My son framed for being the driver in an accident where the drunken (ex) friend ran off the road-my son was the passenger.
A combination of false accusation and poor investigative technique by no less than a state trooper put my son in the driver's seat resulting in multiple charges against my son, including DUI.
Last week the DA's office decided to no longer pursue the case, after a deposition given by an acquaintance of the dirtbag driver, revealed that the dirtbag driver confided in the acquaintance that he,(dirtbag), was behind the wheel. All 5 charges dismissed.
Praise God! Thank you Jesus !
Can I breathe now?

As an aside, money can't buy one happiness, but it can buy a savvy attorney, a sad but true picture of our flawed legal system.
It's been said that a man needs 3 good men in his life: A good attorney, a good accountant, and a good mechanic.
Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life.

Fear God and keep His commandments, for this is the whole duty of man. Ecc.12:13

I get up, walk two steps, fall down and get up again only to repeat the same...if you meet me face down on life's pathway, please help me to get up.

Praise be to God!

And I hoped that your son learned a valuable lesson:

Do not get into a car if:
1) the driver has been drinking, and
2) the driver is a dirtbag, and

3) Never drink with dirtbags, in the first place. They fight, steal, deal, and then blame it all on you.

False accusations and time in jail... no fun, but a big life lesson.

I don't know how I missed this. Thank you for the update, Peter. I'm really grateful that's off his shoulders... and yours.

Just saw this. But here's a belated Praise GOD! Your experience sure qualifies as an ulcer maker! Guess your son learned a valuable lesson in picking friends too!
Fearful and stressful to the max! Sure thankful it turned out on the side of truth, fairness and justice!
Soli Deo Gloria!
