Rejoice!

Post by Gabriel » Sun Mar 18, 2018 2:36 pm

My son Silas was baptized this morning!

I know there are many different beliefs about baptism represented here, please debate them in another thread and rejoice with my family today.

It has been exciting and encouraging to watch God working in his life. I look forward to his future, wondering what God has in store for this one.

(By way of explanation, in Baptist belief and tradition, a person is baptized as a public profession of their faith in Christ.)

I rejoice with you. We had a baptism this morning as well as new members. We were reminded to remember our baptism and to be thankful.

I love this stuff. Shake the little guy's hand for me and give him a hearty pat on the shoulder.
We were buried therefore with him by baptism into death, in order that, just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, we too might walk in newness of life.

My heart is smiling (If that is possible); regardless of the bapistim ritual that statement has been made in front of a body of believers.

Tell your son, "Welcome to the family."
