I have a vintage bent Falcon and a Koolsmoke straight. When I first found out about them, I thought they had an interesting and cool look. I find they both smoke great. They have a good draw, don't get unusually hot and I don't recall them ever gurgling. My initial thought was that they were just a gimmick but they do perform very well. I've made the rings but they aren't necessary. The new production Falcon bents have a different profile than the older ones. I prefer the vintage design better.

I smoked mine this morning.
It sounded better when the voices in my head were saying it.

Almost as ugly as a CoB. Almost. And more parts.

Practical and so easy to keep clean. I like their "apple" bowls for they are a little bigger/ wider, and fit a tad bit more baccie. Falcon bowls tend to be smallish.

Dad inherited a falcon pipe from his uncle, but one of my "friends" stole it for nefarious purposes.

I have my grandfather's Falcon, I've always like the looks of it, I have pulled it out twice so far. I get funny looks from folks.

Well, there is, of course, that aspect. Have you ever read this guy's creative writing? My eyebrows are raised and I haven even caught sight of him yet.

Get you to the CPS Novel thread, young Mont, and see. Also, you will learn what copraphagia means without the noisome, degrading task of looking it up. :D

Well, I WAS contemplating purchasing a falcon pipe.

NOPE .... I'll pass on the pipe after readying through this thread. Plus it looks like something a 'doper' uses or bought out of a head shop.

I'm not sure about you, man. I mean, you're obviously a really nice guy and I'm glad you're here and wish you joy of the place. It's your moniker. You seem more manic than stoic, and I'd always thought a detective would put more work into coming to a conclusion.

That gave me a good chuckle.
I do have "Back From The Ashes: Uncovering the lost history of G. L. Hunt and the Falcon Pipe." by K.A. Worth added to my kindle reading list. After reading this book .... maybe I'll change my mind.

Yeah, I might be running the risk of an admin changing my moniker .... or maybe the developing paradox is a good thing.

You're a detective, right? You could use a Falcon as cover. Ugly things.

The developing paradox is a good thing. I'd suggest getting a Falcon to make up your mind. I agree they're odd looking--sort of what somebody in the fifties would expect an astronaut to smoke. But they're the only system pipe I've ever owned that actually works. Burns every shred of tobacco, can be smoked almost ad infinitum without needing more than a tissue and a pipe cleaner, and are surprisingly comfortable. I wish I had a spare to send you for a trial.
