“Poised, gestural, and classically French to a T, this handsome Acorn from Genod features a deep, narrow chamber, housed within an easily manageable, ergonomic form imbued with a sense of lithe grace.”

Okay, so the seller’s description is a little over top; still, it’s a very nice little pipe for $65.

Noticing French Pipes

As I’ve mentioned before, I love my little Ropp billiard.

My SS sent me this delightful little pipe that I’ll be breaking in with some Navigator here in a moment:

I keep picking up my Sebastian Beo pipes. I love the shapes and how they smoke. I also enjoy talking to the carver at the Chicago Pipe Show.

Yeah, the proportions are spot on and at 25.40 g. it should be an effortless pipe to handle. I just had to try a horn stem.

The bad thing with their sub $100 pipes is that they only photograph from one side. I'm hoping the grain on the other side is just as good. That would be icing on the cake.

Don't worry, I'm still mulling over that one thing we talked about... :D
