Pipe Brand Riddle

Post by Goose55 » Thu Sep 20, 2018 3:59 pm

I have a pipe partly stamped through a sandblast, on the heel, and the first part of the name is unreadable. The last 4 letters are either

____COEN

or

____SOEN

Directly underneath the name is:

"London Style"

Anybody have any idea what make pipe this is? I'd post a picture of the pipe but I'm not sure how that would help

Oh, you.
You've probably already considered the alternative possibility that it's a ____Coen or ____Soen pipe by London Style, but I figured I'd throw it out there.
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.

Could you post a photo, Goose, so we can say that didn’t help?

Pipedia isn't helpful but I searched eBay and found this. It's the exact same stamping as my pipe. What looked like COEN, or SOEN was actually COLN, as in LinCOLN. So, Jim, you get 5 stars today, and get to sit at the head of the class!

Image

Lincoln was a sub-brand of Sasieni. The stampings were obscured on my pipe......
