Well I didn't make it very long...not even through the 2nd month of the year and I have a new/estate pipe headed my way. I made a lowball offer and they accepted it...so I have a Wally Frank Billiard winging its way to Colorado.

This showed up 3 days early, opened it last night. It is in fantastic condition. It took about 10 min to clean up and I will give it a smoke tonight.
Absolutely beautiful pipe. I like the nostalgic looks of it too.

Nice hat on that other thread, though.

I had a delivery today of some new Savinelli pipes. A Roma Lucite 673 KS, a Roma 504, a Roma 320 KS and an unfinished 644 KS Bent Brandy. I smoked a bowl of PA in the 644 Brandy to start breaking it in and I'm smoking a bowl of Pirate Kake in the 504 Bulldog. A good pipe day.

Went to The Pipe and Pint for a bag of coffee, and I figured I'd pick up a tin of Hyde Park while there. Somehow this Molina apple that has caught my eye on previous visits decided that it was going to come home with me. Bad Adam! Bad!

I tend to find the doctrinal books often more helpful in devotion than the devotional books.... I believe that many who find that "nothing happens" when they sit down, or kneel down, to a book of devotion, would find that the heart sings unbidden while they are working their way through a rough bit of theology with a pipe in their teeth and a pencil in their hand.

I’m rather fond of bent apples myself.
