You know there are still a few hours left of the year. Someone out there could decide to sell a Pete 999 or calabash for a price I can live with. ;0)
It never hurts to dream. :)

Thanks man. I hope it turns out. The photo was a stock photo and the description nonexistent. However, I am somewhat competent at restorations and have rescued one or two sad stories. Hopefully it is not cherry ghosted!

I just ordered this Garfinkel from Ebay for 18.00 total including shipping. We'll see.

*GASP* is that a Sherlock Holmes Peterson I see over there??? Be still my beating heart. I'm a big Holmes fan and have always wanted one of those.

But alas, I keep spending my bucks on Kaywoodie auctions. Just sniped another tonight and am watching three others.

Yup! I got it off Facebook for $60 and it was lightly smoked. It’s my most expensive pipe followed by the Stanwell POY from my birth year.

Dang man. The seller didn't know what he had.

Those green Pete's are actually stunning in person too. After I saw one I was both surprised and impressed.

That green one is my favorite. It’s a 2017 St. Patrick’s Day 999. It was the first pipe I was able to smoke all the way to the bottom of the bowl. I’ve got quite a few Kaywoodies as well. I found a booth at an antiques show that was selling them for $5 each in 2018.

Geeeeez. It must be where I live, but antique stores here think old pipe = expensive. It is not uncommon to see charred cobs with $20 tags and beat to crap Grabows for north of $30.

I scored a couple 4 hole stinger kaywoodies some years ago for $10 each before I knew what they were. Cleaned them up, sold them for $20 each and thought I dun good. Then I saw a billiard- just like the one I'd just sold - on smoking pipes for $200! Dang.

I tried for several on ebay during the latter part of 2019 but they all went for more than I was willing to pay. So my intent was to actually purchase one or two. I plan to sell quite a few in 2020.

Well, let me know what, when and how much. I'd rather buy from a friend whom I can trust than some putz on Ebay who only smoked Middletons cherry blend!

The Garfinkel pipe I ordered from Ebay arrived today. It cost me 18.00 total including shipping. Well worth the money too. I'm smoking Prince Albert in it and it's a good smoker. I like how it looks too. I think this will be one of my favorites.
