It would be best to add tobacco also.

A meerschaum with a Christian/Biblical theme would be cool.

Quando Omni Flunkus Moritati - When all else fails, play dead.
Depending on cost, I think could be cool. I don't own a meer and was bummed I missed out on the last poy meer.
I haven’t smoked mine yet.

The kit-carve-your-own concept is intriguing.

Totally different than any previous POY.

I don't really have the time but I would endeavor to make the time.

Maybe olive wood, I don't have one.

Or a gourd calabash.

Each person would need to carve the CPS pipefish.

This has interesting possibilities. Hmmmm....

The carve your own is interesting now that I've pondered it. If we would go that route we'd have to arrange sending them for engraving post carving. It might push me back into the pipe making hobby.

Pipe kits and we all carve our own.
I made my own pipe. Left it at the ex's. It was dang nice for someone who sucks at most things.

I'm a big "pass" on the idea of a kit. I still have a half carved kit in my garage since the aughts. Brier is much harder to carve than I thought it would be, and my life is already too full of projects and obligations. But, hey, if that's what y'all decide to go for, have fun. The mob has spoken.

A big +1 on the above. I'm not interested in carving my own official POY, but if I were, I could do that anytime/year I want. It's meaningless. But like Andrew said, ya'll go for it, and have fun.

+1 - - - for basically the same reason I wasn't down for the Falcon bowl. The whole point of a POY is to have a pipe in common with the group.

I doubt we could land anything like this in any reasonable amount of time for under $300, even with some volume. Still...

A kit would only work for me if we were all able to get together and work on them together...just too much distance and time crunch to try to pull that off, so I vote for a completed pipe for a POY
