purdy pipe

Post by sportybird » Thu Aug 12, 2004 11:02 am

I purchased a new pipe the other day, she's the purdiest pipe I own. I think I'll call her "ducky".

Yes, I do name my pipes, at least some of them!

That sure is a purdy one. What the heck is that thingy on the stem? Is it a duck?

The pipe is a L'Anatra pipe. To learn some more about them see:

I thought maybe it was a periscope so the tobacco could see out.

Nice pipe, Daniel. Did you pick a tobacco for it yet?

I'm about 3/4 through my first tin of Haddo's Delight, but I think I'm going to change to my favorite Royal Jersey Perique.

I like the top 1/3 of a bowl of Haddo's Delight, but then all I taste is ash from there on down, no matter if I dump out the ash or just tamp it down.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong.

Does anyone else have this problem with Haddo's?

My problem with Haddo's is the nicotine - I can't do more than about half a bowl before getting that buzz I find so unpleasant.
