That looks like quite the pipe for the money on that Grandi.

Should be. There's at least one small pit on the shank, but shouldn't change the smoke-ability. Love the shape.

My collection grew to six when I received a box from Bear Graves from the Pay It Forward program in 2003. It's amazing how quickly you can accumulate them.

A brand new chunky Upshall Tilshead. And a big one. 15/16th diameter chamber, 2 inches deep. I am very much going to enjoy breaking this one in. I'll post some more pics after I get some Halcyon wax on it to bring out the grain....

Here's a better image of the Upshall Tilshead. About 6 - 5/8th in long. Bowl height is 2 - 3/8th. Chamber walls are over 5/16th in thick. The flame grain wraps around about 75% of the pipe, and that was probably why this was relegated a Tilshead by Upshall.

This pipe arrived in yesterday's mail.
I commissioned it back in January, before I had to go on the pipe aquisition wagon . . .

Very nice pipe, I get his notices of new pipes but they generally are gone before I get to the web site.

You can email Jean and ask him to make you a pipe.

It doesn't cost any more than one that gets listed on the website, and you can work with him to choose things like a special shape, finish, trim, etc.

He's very accommodating, and he makes a helluva pipe.
