This is another recent painting. It doesn't have any pipe smoking stuff, but I'm sorta proud of of it, because it was accepted to a fairly prestigious national show, the Oil Painters of America First Annual Salon.

Some new arts, of a manly nature. I haven't done any pipe smoking stuff recently, but maybe soon.

Great stuff!

Maybe I missed it, but you do happen to sell anything?

He's an artist. To buy more paint, he'll sell his wife and kids.

Just read through this thread for the first time. Will bookmark it for future purchases. I really like the latest skull, being from Texas and all that.

This is getting quite spare for still life, not quite minimalist but I am curious about what led to this style?

Thanks! I don't know. Quiddity?

Trying out a different approach to light and detail. Now I'm thinking about some more ambitious pieces. These do remind me a little of the first paying art job I ever had, doing meticulous drawings of archeological artifacts; stone tools, pottery fragments, etc...

Can you paint a pipe smoking beaver? If so, how much?

That depends on whether the beaver can hold still long enough.

Amazing.

You should teach art somewhere.
