cigar of the month clubs

Post by micah » Mon Feb 20, 2017 1:57 pm

Any of you guys belong to one of these? Been thinking about it for a while and trying to do some research on it but there not a whole lot of it to be had.
I've about narrowed my decision down to either cigar international or JR cigars. With JR for $25 you get 5 cigars. If you pay a membership fee of $30 a year you get free shipping on anything that year plus a 6th cigar in your club shipments
With CI for $19 you get 4 cigars, for $29 you get two of each of the 4 cigars.
From what I've seen, your getting a better value of cigar by going with CI rather than JR but your also getting the free shipping even if it's one cigar with JR...but I could be wrong on the value. That's just what it's seemed to me with the reviews I've watched...
So, anyone have an opinion?

I could be wrong but I think the cigar OTM club is for those who are new to cigars.

I've had very good service and product from CI, JR sent me some real duds a couple of times.

Ya. Pretty much. I don't know much about cigars, or much about anything for that matter, so I'm hoping to to try some new sticks. I have a couple cigars that I like and thats about the only ones I smoke so I am hoping to get some variety.

Hey Jim! Doing good. Don't get on the forums all that much. Staying real busy. Bought a new house, work a couple jobs. All that fun stuff. Still enjoy a pipe though, which is the most important thing! ;)

What kind of cigars have you liked so far?

CI has a great catalog that puts similar tastes & Strengths together.

Lol! Aren't you the funny guy Fred! You still got that little hot rod?

Jocose, I really like the Rocky Patel vintage 1992 and the Drew estate Java. That's about the only two I smoke.
I had someone suggest the cigar monster app also so I'm going to check that out as well.

Check out, Cigar Saveur. I wish I could afford it but I don't smoke cigars that fast. 4 quality cigars a month.

I still have it. Hasn't moved much since you were last on CPS though. Missed you at the pipe show in St Louis last weekend. (jk, I didn't go)
