Last two cigars were Padron Anniversary maduros in the Lonsdale shape. The boss gave me these around Christmas; they had been dried out accidentally and then rehumidified, so they weren't quite as smooth as normal, but still good smokes. Smoked the first Tuesday evening in the lounge of the hotel where I work. They brought me in early due to the storm and gave me a room. Since it was my birthday they also let me order a prime rib dinner and a pint of Bass Ale on the house. Smoked the second one at the tobacco shop where I work Saturdays.

Yesterday I smoked part of a Rocky Patel Edge torpedo. It had a broken wrapper, so I held it together for a time. Ended up smoking less than half because Laurie came to pick me up at the B & M and I knew I couldn't get away with smoking it in the car. Also yesterday a friend returned from Germany and gave me a Partagas Serie D from an island south of Miami. THAT went into the humidor to wait for just the right moment. There's also a Montecristo #2 and a Cohiba robusto from that same mysterious island that need to be burned first!

Bought a box of Peterson Gran Reserva Churchills, made for Peterson by Ashton. I love these sticks, medium-full Honduran/Nicaraguan blends are my personal favorite. Got them for Cigarsinternational.com @ $60.00 a box! Highly recommended. No longer in production, once they are gone, they're gone forever. I got my box on Friday, so I figured it was safe to tell the rest.

This afternoon a couple long panatela shapes that were a bit dry and cracked so I made the sacrifice and smoked them. Well, I couldn't very well SELL them to an actual customer, could I? First a Cuesta Rey 1882, then an H. Uppmann.

Bought: I ordered two boxes (10 per box) of Rocky Patel 1990 Vintage Churchills from Lil' Brown Smoke Shack. They have them on sale for $39.99, which is an incredible deal.
Smoked: Just got back from an evening of fishing/then smoking with two of my closest friends. Cusanos all around...a Cusano 18 natural (robusto-ish) for me. A very good cigar...

Had a 5-Vegas Series 'A' (maduro) Apostle last night. It was better than average, and a good value; but, it would be well down the priority list if I were to stockpile any cigars. It would likely be better with some resting time in the humidor. I just thought it was a little rough around the edges for my taste in maduros.

I've recently picked up some nice premium/rare cigars (did I mention I love living near Tampa?
). Most of these will be resting comfortably in the humidor for a few months/years:
3 X Oliva Master Blends (original 2003 MBI) churchills
4 X Opus X Reserve D'Chateau
2 X Opus X Fuente Fuente
3 X Opus X xXx
2 X Ashton ESG (Estate Sun Grown, not VSG) 20 Yr Salute (Robusto)
2 X Ashton ESG 21 Yr Salute (Churchills)
18 X Fuente Hemingway Maduros (Classics)
2 X Fuente Cuban Belicosos (Sun Grown)
4 X Fuente King B (Sun Grown)
Quite a few others, not so premium. My wonderful wife bought me a 500-count humidor for our anniversary. I thought it my duty to fill it as quickly as possible

As far as smoking (vs. buying)...I am really loving some more inexpensive cigars lately. I have thoroughly enjoyed Rocky Patel's 1990 Vintage, Indian Tabac's Super Fuerte maduros, and 5 Vegas Gold. All outstanding, and the Indian Tabac and 5 Vegas are very inexpensive (can be had for about $1.50/stick if you watch for them on cBid).
