BriarWorks Bacon Old Fashioned Tobacco

Post by Del » Sun May 14, 2017 7:24 pm

Cornell & Diehl is marketing this clever tobacco in a real canning jar:

Pipeson just had to buy a jar at Chicago Pipe Show.

Mainly ribbon-cut virginia, with some dark-fired Kentucky (to give it that bit of smokey flavor) and a light bourbon topping.

Bourbon is the first impression. Virginia citrus takes over as the flavor develops.

Mostly, we just giggle at the pig on the cover of the jar.

Brilliant name for a tobacco blend, too.

I would be curious if the marketing alone sells this product VS if it was blind taste tested from zip lock bags.

Has anyone else had any of the blends from this line?

I tried one called "Country Lawyer" that was spectacularly bland, if such a thing was possible.

It's a shame. I was pre-disposed to like it.

Had another bowl of Back Down South this weekend. I saw a posting earlier about this blend saying that it is how Haddo's should taste. I have to agree that I do like this better than Haddo's.
