Uncle Bob's Fabric of Tobacco Grey Flannel

Post by Bloodhound » Fri Feb 23, 2018 11:40 am

I have seen this blend when on the JFH website and was interested by the name, but hadn't pulled the trigger until now. I PMed Uncle Bob and got some of his thoughts and decided to try 8oz. Grey Flannel evoking a classic "Old School" feeling.

The dominant flavor of the Virginias takes the stage at the light up but the Latakia slides in the background with smoky goodness. The burley gives it just bit of a different note from normal Virginia sweetness. There was a pleasant sour note that I thought might be from a special/secret ingredient but Uncle Bob said that comes from the play between the Burley and the Red VA a very nice suprise. You might also think this one has some Perique until you read the list of ingredients. This one is mild and tasty enough to be an all day smoke, and the room note is pleasant. I find its a little better in a small to medium size bowl. Grey Flannel is a good name for the blend and it is a great smoke...Thanks Uncle Bob

Oh yes, I took a Grey Flannel sample from the box, quite good! I will probably get more!

I just went to look for some, and the JFH site doesn’t seem to have it...
