Try putting a little honey as topping on some vanilla ice cream.

I used to like Breyer's Vanilla back when it was just milk, cream, sugar, and vanilla. Honey was good on it too.

Vanilla with a dusting of cinnamon is also tasty.

Ice cream tacos. That sounds so good I am going to go make one right now!

Here's another good one, from the Land of Spuds:
Ice Cream Potato
One big scoop of vanilla ice cream rolled into a potato shape, then rolled in unsweetened cocoa powder. Split down the middle and add whipped cream.

Ben & Jerry's Cherry Garcia is my all time favorite but anything else with bits of cheese cake or brownies in it is good too.

At home it's Schwan's vanilla with marachino cherries and syrup, whipped cream, chocolate syrup or hot fudge, and whatever nuts we have on hand.

I could really go for a home-made butter pecan, double scoop in a homemade waffle cone.

I know this is in the YR, but I'm serious ... two of my favorite ice creams came and went too fast. Baskin&Robbin's Licorice flavor; and Haagen-Dazs Carob flavor. Both long-gone, at least where I shop.

Like tobacco, ice cream has very nearly escaped the effects of the fall and is good by nature.

I think it was Friendly's that scored the frozen Trifecta: fudge ripple, banana nut, pistacio. Quintessential!

Short of that I go with Black Raspberry Chocolate Chip whenever available. Braum's version is particularly good.

I cooked homemade ice cream last night and today we froze it.

It was chocolate. Tasty.

Blue Bell should be available where you are; Brenham is not that far down the road from there. If available, try their Red Velvet Cake, and compare to B&J's.
