Is It Really Better To Burn Out?

The part of the church where the silliest things happen. Conversations that sound like they belong in the youth room will be moved here.

Is it better to burn out or fade away?

Burn out.
Fade away.

Now that is a funny reference. Well done, coco.

I've always been confused by this statement. Sure, I know the references of burning fire versus being a nobody, but as someone who depended on fire for his survival for over ten years, burning out and fading away are one-in-the-same. Watching a fire burn itself could easily be described with both of those references. If I want to die a, "Good Death" as One-Stab stated in the movie Legends of the Fall, I'd rather be eaten by a bear. That's a lot more dramatic than a fading, burning out fire.

Sex, drugs and Rock and Roll... Aren't those synonymous with each other?

To burn out is to fade away faster. That may be good or bad.
