Organic Doritos Give Snack Giant a Way Into the New Whole Foods

Amazon.com Inc.’s acquisition of Whole Foods is coming at just the right time for Frito-Lay, the snack giant known for Doritos, Ruffles and Funyuns.

The division of PepsiCo Inc. now has versions of 11 core chip brands without artificial ingredients -- including Lay’s, Tostitos and Cheetos -- and it’s aiming to break out of the traditional snack aisle and get into organic grocery stores. Still poison, just organic tasty poison. Next? Organic Pepsi? I am for the idea of organic farming to a degree but much of what is labeled organic even at farmers markets is shady as a Campbell in a sheep herd.

I will take one. Hold the banana and the peanut butter. Can I also have extra bacon?

I'm game. We have a joint near by that puts PB and bacon jam on a burger. It is outstanding.

My dad used to eat peanut butter, banana, and bacon sandwiches. I suppose he still might. I don't like bananas but I enjoy a pb and bacon sandwich from time to time. They're particularly good to pack for lunch afield. Never seen one that looks as good as this one though.
