Bagel with crunchy peanut butter.
This. Everyone knows that bagels' primary purpose is to carry cream cheese.
And lox. You can't eat lox and peanut butter. That would be nasty.
A toasted bagel is perfect for delivering crunchy peanut butter that is slightly melted.
What is wrong with you???

Lox and PB are not entirely nasty together. Capers work well with it, too.

Don't judge me.

Maybe you should ask my wife. I'm too close to the subject to be objective.

For the record, he's right. A properly toasted bagel with slightly melted crunchy peanut butter is pretty good, buy you really either need to add jam on top of the peanut butter or put a lot of milk on the side because it will quickly clog the first quarter of the alimentary canal if you don't have something to cut it with.
In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.

You’re all wrong. Bagels require plain cream cheese (none of that flavored stuff) with slices of avocado on top sprinkled with lemon pepper. Add a slice of tomato if you’re craving more veggies.

I have not yet been convinced that the consumption of the bagel itself is licit.

My other favorite bagel is toasted, covered with Patum Peperium, then topped with a scrambled egg. No cream cheese in sight.
