Be Advised: Aging Sucks

The part of the church where the silliest things happen. Conversations that sound like they belong in the youth room will be moved here.

On the brighter side, you can get a Geezer Pass and visit any National Park without paying an entrance fee. Pretty slick huh?

Finding it strange that I now get a geezer discount.
As Rusty said I think like an 18 year old.
I never grew up and don't have any plans to do so.

Kind of like giving a squirrel nuts after he's lost all his teeth.

Know the feeling. I can't climb stairs anymore without my knees sounding like a bowl of rice crispies.

You're too young to have knees!

Here's how it was explained to me:
You get old, things start to hurt.
You learn to ignore the hurt and press on regardless.
Until one day, one of those things that hurts kills you.

I'm good with that.

At 47, my skateboard skills are not nearly what they were at 18. Fatness reduces balance, and fear of breakage and/or death has significantly diminished my gnarliness. But I'm losing weight and this summer should be better than last...on 4 wheels. Maybe I should move to the beach and take up surfing. Lower impact.

My knee is killing me today.

Yesterday while dressing for church, I turned around to look for my socks on the bed.

That was all it took.

*sigh*
