It fell below 90 today, so the fall wreaths emerged from their cocoons and attached themselves to the house in several places.

Today marked the birth of the 2020 fall/winter/Christmas wreath season. Rita is almost giddy.

You know those wreath hangers that hook over the top of the door so you don't have to use a nail? Well somehow those go missing 'round my house each fall. Trouble is, Mrs FredS just goes out and buys new ones.

Yeah. I tried that. Those things hurt.

I came home to a new wreath on the front door today. Apparently the post-Thanksgiving Christmas wreath swap performed this past weekend was not good enough. It was only intended to be the post-Thanksgiving, pre-Christmas wreath wreath. You should all be comforted to know that the actual Christmas wreath is now in place.

In an effort to be charitable I did not offer any harsh criticism or warnings about any additional wreaths. I did, however, let her know that I was buying a new gun for every new wreath purchased or made for the rest of this holiday season.

I’ve picked out a Ruger Single Six with the extra .22 WMR cylinder.
