Ghost Pepper burritos - DON'T

Post by Winton » Wed Dec 19, 2018 8:00 pm

I regularly eat frozen burritos, since they are fast and edible. At my last grocery trip, I found a new variety, with ghost peppers. I had two tonight. I am still regretting that decision two hours later.

My wife's response was "Duh!"

You have been warned.

Try a bit of ghost pepper in rye whiskey.

Ghost peppers seems to be the focal point.

Sir Winton.

If yer gonna nab colon cleaning burritos; might I suggest Taco Bell?

Consume 2 Burrito Supreams with extra meat and 2 Hard shelled Taco Supreams. Ensure there is plenty of hot sauce slathered over all the said yumminess.

45 minutes later and you’ll wish Ghost Peppers were yer only issue.

You should pound a bowl of ice cream. Now. For later.

This, gentlemen, is what it feels like when doves cry.
Even though I can't smoke at this time, for some reason I like this place.

Come on, ICE CREAM!!, ICE CREAM!!, come on,
Come on, ICE CREAM!!, ICE CREAM!!, come on.
Every year I wait for ICE CREAM!! to come, it's all right, (it's all right, it's all right)
A lot of presents, I'll be opening one, it's all right. (it's all right, it's all right)
If I get nothing, it'll be okay
'Cause Santa promised you won't go away.
So, come on, ICE CREAM!!, ICE CREAM!!, come on,
Come on, ICE CREAM!!, ICE CREAM!!, come on.
When we're together all the jingle bells ring, it's all right, (it's all right, it's all right)
My ICE CREAM!! baby really makes my heart sing, it's all right, (it's all right, it's all right)
Now I know you're coming home to stay,
It's ICE CREAM!! morning every single day.
So, come on, ICE CREAM!!, ICE CREAM!!, come on,
Come on, ICE CREAM!!, ICE CREAM!!, come on, ICE CREAM!!, come on!
If I get nothing, it'll be okay
'Cause Santa promised you won't go away.
So, come on, ICE CREAM!!, ICE CREAM!!, come on,
Yeah! Come on, ICE CREAM!!, ICE CREAM!!, come on, ICE CREAM!!, come on.
Come on, ICE CREAM!!, ICE CREAM!!, come on,
Come on, ICE CREAM!!, ICE CREAM!!, come, ICE CREAM!!, come, ICE CREAM!!, come on!
Yeah, come on, ICE CREAM!!! Come on, ICE CREAM!!! Come on, ICE CREAM!!!
Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!
Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!
Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey! Hey!
Yeah! Come on, ICE CREAM!!, ICE CREAM!!, come, ICE CREAM!!, come, ICE CREAM!!, come on!

This hurts me thinking about it. I LOVE hot peppers... but they "punish" me... the next day... mightily... and yet I still eat them.

You arent alone. Next time you are in a szechuan restaurant, see if they can make you the Chong Qing (chong-ching) dry fried chicken. I've found that if you know the characters, most places can do it. Its bits of fried chicken, scallion, and garlic stir fried with amazing amounts of dried chilies, chili seeds, and chili oil. The high salt content somehow balances out the heat.

A fantabulous dish on it's own right, its cleansing powers are, ahem, formidable.

I experienced numbing peppers the first time in a trip to China. The memory sticks. It's a sensation not unlike a scorpion sting, so I felt. How it adds to food flavor I'm still uncertain. Ziiiiiiinnnnnng.
