All of the ideas have been great. Even the stubby pot.

I don't need any more pipes, but this is awesome enough to want one.
I might be interested in the Dublin, but the Lovat looks too much like the Wayne Teipen POY that I already have.

Some people collect different shapes. I collect a few favorite shapes.

Mostly I love bulldogs & variants, like Rhodesians. But a close second goes to these little straight pipes with saddle bits.

I'm loading up my Teipen POY from 2013.... and thinking that 5 years is plenty long enough to wait for another one.

It is well documented here that I like a Lovat but I gave a way my only Dublin and so I am thinking that rgcurrey and Jim's suggestion may also have merit.

JB will put you down for a lovat.
I tend to find the doctrinal books often more helpful in devotion than the devotional books.... I believe that many who find that "nothing happens" when they sit down, or kneel down, to a book of devotion, would find that the heart sings unbidden while they are working their way through a rough bit of theology with a pipe in their teeth and a pencil in their hand.

I have one Lovat, a Comoy's Tradition, it is a fine pipe but the style just doesn't do it for me. Wish it was a dublin . . . .

So we should do a straight Dublin... or a bent Lovat!

A bent lovat wouldn't be called a lovat. It would be a bent billiard with a saddle stem.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.

Because nothing says Christian Pipe Smoker quite like a well-endowed topless mermaid, with an icthus etched into her somewhere, right?

What a bastardization... No thanks. I'll stick with the straight lovat.
