GM products with backup lights that illuminate when the doors are remotely unlocked.
I can't tell you how many times I've stopped in a parking lot to give someone a chance to back out of their spot (not because I wanted the spot, but just to be courteous) only to find that there was no one in the vehicle.
I now ignore backup lights on ALL GM vehicles.

Surely there is some middle ground?

I could bust out all of the backup lamps on GMs, but I'm not sure that is middle ground

I just found out that tomorrow I have to undergo fit-testing for an N95 Respirator....which means I have to be clean-shaven...which means I have to shave my beard.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.

What you think you'll look like when you shave your beard.
What you actually look like.

I’m the guy who made that decision for my group. I haven’t been invited to any kind of get together since. My Christmas card count went way down, too.

The NC Severe Weather Alerting System. Yes. It's gonna rain. We see the clouds. Do we have to have 5 solid minutes of blaring irritation to tell us that it's gonna <zederated> rain?!?
No.
No we do not.
