Wednesday Boomer Music

The part of the church where the silliest things happen. Conversations that sound like they belong in the youth room will be moved here.

The corrected mix of And Justice For All. Leaps and bounds better than the original. You can actually hear Jason Newstead now.

I didn't know the bass player served a purpose in most metal bands. I say that and I listen to a LOT of metal.

For a band where the bass player is prominent, you should check out Jinjer. Those guys are something else - insanely proficient.

They serve a purpose (and their contributions can clearly be heard) in the best metal bands.

The first two who come to mind are Dave Ellefson (Megadeth) & Steve Harris (Iron Maiden).

I saw a live video of System of a Down where the guitar rig crapped out and all you could hear was the bass. The comments on said video were hilarious.

More interesting (and impressive) was Serj singing "Where's the Orchestra" by Billy Joel! I wonder how many in the crowd knew THAT song?

Oh yeah, and I could always hear Ronny Cates when he played for Petra. Those Kubicki basses cut through anything.
