How does a President's mortality rate compare to other jobs?

How does a President's mortality rate compare to other jobs?

Post by Craft » Sun Jun 28, 2020 4:26 pm

If 4 out of 45 presidents have been assassinated, then that means the job of President has a mortality rate of just under 10%, which is pretty high.

Anyone else know what their job's mortality rates are?

A few more died of other causes while in office, making the rate much higher than 10%.

The occupation with the highest mortality rate seems to be "retirement."

Dentist and Psychiatrist mortality rates are quite high I have heard. Due to suicide.

That's a much higher rate than the Rona. Presidents should be quarantined so the rest of us don't get what they have.

I don't think there has been a study on what the rate is for my profession. I sell guitars and guitar accessories.

I'm not sure about the mortality rate but the suicide rate of males in my profession is significantly higher than the general population. 8O

My profession appears to have one of if not the lowest suicide rate among the professions.
The “sense of community” is cited as a primary factor.

What profession is that, may I ask?

And why males specifically?

We're pretty sure that Slowtoke is an exotic dancer. He sculpts award-winning pipes on the side.

Professional males have a higher rate of suicide, in general.

Less reason to live to begin with, I suppose, were it not for a woman, or at least a womanly ideal

Doesn't a black widow's husband even lay down its life for its queen?

Life without the ideal of a woman, to me, would be worthless, life without an ideal of man, I could comparatively contemplate...
