Our facilities maintenance folks complain about this same issue all the time. People flush huge wads of butt wipes, paper towels, and a bizarre assortment of other stuff and it plugs up the works. It's an expensive and time consuming problem and I know darned well these folks don't do this in their own homes.

At work I once uncapped a pressurized sewer clean out at a girls dorm at college. The column of sewage and tampons shot up past the second story and came down the length of the student parking lot (which was full of cars but thankfully no convertibles)
