True. Not everyone is bought and sold.
Integrity comes from the root word integer, meaning "1," or wholeness.
A whole number; a number that is not a fraction. A thing complete in itself.

Re: Tegrity
I have always thought the word "integrity" was slightly misused when speaking of a person, similar to the word "character."
Steel often fails due to poor combination of ingredients or improper forming process; it can be described as having poor "integrity;" or its "poor integrity" was revealed by failure.
Integrity seems to describe what something or someone is, at its core, or in its makeup, that will be revealed when tested.
So, sorry to digress, as I agree, that strong, reliable integrity seem more scarce.
However, I am also frustrated at those that seem to be content while not regularly requiring it.

Be the integrity you want to see in the world.

I tell my boy (and remind myself) that integrity is doing the right thing even when no one is looking.
