There, I Said It!

The part of the church where the silliest things happen. Conversations that sound like they belong in the youth room will be moved here.

There, I said it.

There, I Said It!

A thread to vent your frustrations about stuff. A safe place here on CPS where you wont be judged.

I'll start.

I didn't really enjoy the film " The Big Lebowski" I felt the characters were dumbed down the dialogue was rushed, ungenuine and predictable. I cringe when people start quoting lines from it.

As far as cult films go I put Director Alex Cox' Repo Man at the very top.

I hate to hear "stars" and music icons talk politics... HATE it... I'm not entirely sure who wants to hear someone who is completely insulated from real life prattle on and on about their views, but it isn't me...

I know, they should be entitled to their opinions, but I don't want to hear them...

Same. I couldn't care less about "famous" people at all. I don't care who they are. If I seen one in public, I'd probably think, "cool" and keep on walking. There are lots of people more interesting and worth my time in the world that actually do and are skilled at important things. I see actors as nothing more than glorified court jesters. They are here to entertain me. Who cares what the court jester thinks about anything? Maybe their mom.

Nah, I'll pass.

People who whinge, complain, rant, vent their spleen, come across as toxic. I don't want to fellowship with such.

I don't like REAL tattoos. I feel like they are for convicts and strippers, of which my sis is both. Hence the negative association. She's over 60 now and they look like they were drawn on paper towels with water color paint. I cringe when people say they want to get one. My daughter even ignored my pleas!

For those of us with fear of commitment and the aforementioned associated negative steteotypes, I recommend "letting" your kids or grandkids "tattoo" you with Crayola markers or Sharpies. You can wash them off easily. They're free fun for the kids. Like this one my son did on me while I was napping:

I'm just the other way around.

I only listen to pop stars when they give their opinions about politics. I mean... their music sucks, but they're still famous and all.

And conversely...... I only listen to politicians when they give opinions about pop culture.

For example -- Joe Biden knows who's Black and who ain't. If Joe Biden isn't talking about the best rap musicians and their work, then he's got nothing else to say.

I've never seen an episode of Friends.

I don't think "The Office" is funny, at all, never even cracked a smile at any of it. I get slightly annoyed when I hear it playing.
