This has to be the ultimate artery clogger - Chicken Fried Bacon. I have made it twice and it is really good!

The Red Cross says that the have a special procedure for handling Darth Saturn's blood donations:

They place his pint in the refrigerator immediately (as they do with all blood donations.)

After two hours, they pull out Darth's blood, skim the solidified fat off of the top, and put the rest back in the fridge.

But only for a bite or two. If I ate the whole thing at once though, it would probably encourage me not to break a fast ever again.

You figured out the secret that most cradle orthodox use to survive all the fasting we do. Make yourself sick on meat right before the fast that way the temptation is much less.

Right before lent (what you call meatfare sunday, we don't have cheesefare from meatfare sunday till the Resurrection its vegan for us) we used go to a brazilian rodizio place and "kill any temptation for meat" for the next 55 days. Oddly I have a harder time fasting now than I do during lent.
