Fine Cigars and Fine Tobaccos

Post by Fainn » Wed May 24, 2017 1:02 pm

I added two pages to my blog that consist of reviews. I am trying to get a reputation as an expert so that I can eventually land a job in a work-free smoking environment.

Some of my first reviews with more to come http://fainnball.weebly.com/fine-cigars ... al-5-for-5

If you're looking to get into the tobacco business, I'd recommend reviewing blends from the top manufacturers, or a particular series from a blender, though I'd avoid the most popular blends..

5 Awesome pipe blends. http://fainnball.weebly.com/fine-tobacc ... -asheville
Fainn wrote:Beck's Ol Limey Bastard - Scottish

Supposedly a recreation of 965. It is a strong blend sweetened by a good amount of Virginia cavendish. Good on its own merit and fantastic as a possible replacement as rumors are swirling that Dunhill will cease production after being bought out by BAT.
What is Scottish when it's referring to tobacco? 965 & Beck's are classic English mixtures.

"Dunhill will cease production after being bought out by BAT" What?
Dunhill doesn't make tobacco and hasn't made tobacco since the late 70's - before you were born. So Dunhill (as in ADL) has nothing to do with this. They don't own those blends. In 1967 Carreras acquired a majority interest in Alfred Dunhill Ltd (ADL). ADL was the corporate entity making Dunhill branded tobacco until the late 70's. Carreras evolved into Carreras-Rothman in the 70's and then into Rothman's International. Rothman's International was acquired by BAT 18 years ago. That's the chain of ownership. BAT owns the Dunhill Tobacco TMs and the blends. BAT is apparently reported (by STG) to be exiting the pipe tobacco & perhaps the cigar market too.
More detail on who makes and who owns at viewtopic.php?f=1&t=29021&p=724596#p724596
Story, such as it is, on BAT exiting market at viewtopic.php?f=19&t=42515

Just say "... if BAT exits the pipe tobacco market".
