So very sorry to learn of your wife's passing, Vernon. We're here for you. Post as often and much as you want to. Again, my condolences.

Praying.

Make sure to take care of yourself during this difficult time.

Thank you all so much!! I truly feel the support and prayers.
Had to deal with all arrangements today. Today being the 4th now will be a free day so to say. No planning, etc. I am going to do my best to make it a fun day for my girls. As the next few days will be rough. Family viewing thursday, burial Friday and celebration saturday.
I have been very blessed by my church family, they have done so much already and only continue to do more. I can truly feel the love and support.
A few things that do need prayer..
I am a night shift worker. Prayers I can get things arranged for my 9 and 12 year old if I have to continue working nights.
Have been a dual income house. Now going to single income..
That my girls will talk about how they are feeling and not keep everything bottled up. My oldest is very introverted abs does that well.
Again thank you for all the prayers...

Salt of the earth fellow, that Vernon. Thinking of others instead of himself. And at a time like this.

Continued prayers up for you and your family and loved ones. Thanks for keeping us posted.

I don't want to be a pest but want to keep updated on this for now.
First I appreciate all the prayer. Even with my faith I have dark moments and I can feel all the prayer support from around..
I do have a few praise type things that have happened..
First my wife is the one that took care of most things around the house. So I knew I would be needing my daughters social security cards soon. They were not in our safe we have. After looking several possible places I was able to find them.
Second just to show how much God takes care of us. I was having some photos and poster size prints done at walgreens for the service. I had used a visa gift card on the website. No issues came up showing pay at store at time of pick up. I went to pick it all up and they were marked paid. I questioned it and the clerk said he could not scan to barcode because they were written over so they must be paid. I checked my gift card balance when I got home and it still had the full amount on it.
God even took care of me there. ..
I am just so amazed and overwelmed by God presence in all that is going on. .
Again thanks for the uplifting prayers... and sorry for rambling on here...

You are most definitely NOT being a pest. Thank you for the updates and we're continuing to pray.
and sorry for rambling on here...
No need to apologize. You're entitled to ramble while you process a lot of thoughts, feelings, and experiences during a difficult time.

When the dust settles and your world is quiet - it will happen in a few weeks when all the visitors and prepared meals are gone and you have to get down to living without her - please tell us about your wife. How she lived, not how she died. Start by telling us her name.
