For my father

Post by Jared » Wed Dec 12, 2018 10:04 pm

Lately the times haven't been good for my dad. Due to continuing I'll health and physical impairment he had to retire from work. He was diagnosed as having pretty bad arthritis in his back as well as a myriad of other issues. Over the years he has had glaucoma, broken both legs in two places, surgery to correct diverticulitis, colon cancer and surgery for that. Numerous bouts with kidney stones and hernia surgeries. The latest blow came back at the first of November when he blacked out and fell in the street at home. We don't know why but he was checked out and had a few MRI's. Since he's been retired and on Medicare his medical bills have become a financial burden. Couple this with my mother's health problems and it's stressful on all of us. More so for dad as he's a deacon emeritus and still holds to the code (if you want to call it that) and feels that his "financial failure" no longer makes him worthy of the title. Y'all please pray that his situation will be resolved. I have had a go fund me up but little has come of that and I know it's hard on him. The other issue is my maternal grandfather has the means to help out but is a stubborn person who feels that my brother who is also struggling financially needs to help out and/or he feels that my father should come to him hat in hand and ask. I would help out but I have a family that I have to take care of and can't really afford it. Thanks y'all.

In theory, theory and practice are the same. In practice, they are not.
