My immediate family is evacuated now and relatively safe, but there's some things going on and some drama with a cousin that got left. He's blind and in a wheel chair, and I've been in touch with the fire Dept and others but it looks like he's stuck in the path and I'm livid. You guys please pray for mercy for my cousin.

Watching this with terror in my heart, praying that the Hand of God somehow averts this storm and that He watches over the people, and not just His people.

Too many stories to tell. All hurricanes are bad but this one was extremely bad for SW Louisiana. Between SE Texas and SW Louisiana I've read that upwards of 500,000 homes and business are without power now. Not sure how many fatalities.
My cousin made it ok, and today we got a generator going at his house.
Appreciate y'all's prayers. I love the coast but sheez, these storms, and it's not even Sept yet.

How did I miss this thread? General prayers were prayed anyway and I'm thankful that the members and their families here survived this monster.

Last post for this, hopefully. As of Abt 9pm tonight all of my relatives and friends that I've been helping now have power restored. My wife's cousin has been staying with us and will return home tmrw. My father in law only stayed here with us one day, so I've been maintain a generator and an ice chest at his house. My cousin's (the one that's blind and ended up riding out the storm) power was restored this afternoon at Abt 6:30. I've been maintaining a generator and ice chest at his house as well. Hopefully power will stay on now, and I'll be able to get some sleep.
Thanks again for prayers.

There’s a lot of prayer still needed down there, I know, but I’m grateful your family is ok, bud.

Looks like Mobile is in the path of the current storm, (Sallie). Heck of a season. Heck of a year. Prayers for those guys there, and continued prayers for the SW Louisiana folks.
