Do you make your own Beard Oil?

Post about everything from carrying a handkerchief to manly skills (sharpening a pocket knife, etc.) to product reviews of items that may have slipped under our radar (e.g. - Grandpa's Pine Tar soap). No threads on anything "new" unless it harkens to old-fashioned sensibilities and ideals.

Can I use Orthodox beard oil? You know, with permission from the bishop, of course.

I tried some of my wife's hair oil. Does seem to make the combing a bit easier. But I feel like I've snorted incense.
I am also of the opinion that the Jesuits should be suppressed.

That must be the Orthodox iteration. There you go, OWS.

CPSers smell of beard oil.
CPSers attract a lot of cats.

Coincidence?

no cats here

I have bought a good beard brush, and that along with the beard oil is making a huge difference.
It sounded better when the voices in my head were saying it.

Just made a beard balm with beeswax today! Actually the second iteration.

Wife bought me some beard oil that smells nice, feels nice. Then a friend ordered this beard balm - basically oil with beeswax!
Having made my own mustache wax a couple months ago i thought the beard balm would be nice.
I didn't have jojoba on hand, so coconut oil is in it right now, + cedarwood Atlas and some mint oils (my wife stocks a few nice essential oils).

Smells nice, but I may try more wax, hopefully tame some wild whiskers and keep the beard more compact looking. Either way, I like beeswax, and I know the oils are healthy.

Anyone tried a beard balm?

Oh man, that's exciting stuff! I have definitely thought about marketing the stuff I've been making, but I don't really have the time to do the whole biz properly right now.

Need any testing and/or marketing help ? [FACE WITH TEARS OF JOY]

It's big right now, but almost all of it is the same thing: same oils, same main ingredients, varying essential oils. I started making my own because of the criminal prices: $20 for 2 ounces? Lol. I make 2 ounces for $3 - $5-6 if I make a balm, though I prefer just to buy it since it's more affordable.

I need something to make my beard softer. Have been skeptical of anything said to do that; but my curiosity is awake enough for me to investigate this additional maintenance procedure.
