Do you make your own Beard Oil?

Post about everything from carrying a handkerchief to manly skills (sharpening a pocket knife, etc.) to product reviews of items that may have slipped under our radar (e.g. - Grandpa's Pine Tar soap). No threads on anything "new" unless it harkens to old-fashioned sensibilities and ideals.

I'm not convinced that an OFG uses beard oil.

I went to buy some Grandpa's Old Fashion Pine Tar soap today and was trying to find the patchouli (I've seen it there before) but did not have any luck. I didn't find the jojoba I wanted either. The store was actually pretty busy so I couldn't ask where they moved it.

I've been using fractionated coconut oil, hemp seed oil, and a varying combination of essential oils (sweet orange, cedar, tea tree, pine, clove, cinnamon) for several months now. I actually rub it into my face and hair too.
It sounded better when the voices in my head were saying it.

No but people do. Ladies often comment on how good I smell.

Maybe you should pass that info on to Trump or Willie Clinton.

I've never met too many OFG's who wore beards. That might be part of it right there.
I am also of the opinion that the Jesuits should be suppressed.

A friend has a long square beard, and practically swears by jojoba oil and a good beard massage while applying it. I'm happy with my beard, but no matter how much I massage or apply oils it doesn't grow like his.
In a dry Canadian winter though my lips would dry out, but for the beard balm in my beard and 'stache.
Regardless of the OFG debate, it's a lot manlier to rub some oils into a beard then to be pulling out your chapstick all day [emoji41]

Wait - no-one else adds beeswax to their beard balm? I made some killer mustache wax with it, and for beard balm I just use less beeswax.
Beeswax has an amazing scent on it's own.

With cooler weather I have been growing a beard, and it's bristly. I am going to try the Jojoba oil once I find it in Phoenix next month.

Been using Rocky Mountain Barber Cedarwood Beard Balm. It has just a touch of wax in it that helps keep the strays in place and I like the scent. I see no need for it until a couple of months growth. My beard is a moderate length, around two inches.

So... the ingredients to the beard balm I make has been replicated in consumerist fashion here in Kenya. I gave them permission, with the incentive of me getting as much free balm as I desire without having to make it anymore. I didn't care much because I doubt they'll make too much money off of it here in Kenya.
