I WANT A NEW KNIFE

Post about everything from carrying a handkerchief to manly skills (sharpening a pocket knife, etc.) to product reviews of items that may have slipped under our radar (e.g. - Grandpa's Pine Tar soap). No threads on anything "new" unless it harkens to old-fashioned sensibilities and ideals.

Talk is cheap and so am I. If that goofball wants to injure himself playing with knives, he can buy his own.

Last time I was home visiting the old man, when we thought death was at hand, he gave me this stockman. He's always been a Case guy. He's collected Gerbers and Spydercos and the other new whiz-bang knives, but those are just for amusment. At heart he's a Case guy.

I was thinking I wanted a new knife, and then I was cleaning up some stuff in the basement and came across a box of stuff from several Christmas' ago and found a brand new CASE with Jigged Bone handles from my granddaughter...still new in the box. Might have to retire my old WESTERN Rancher and start carrying the case.

I can carry a $10 Craftsman box knife for years.
A quality knife, I will lose it in 6 months.
