Del?
Not unless Del is a vampire or a zombie.
October 31st is a fortuitous coincidence. On that evening I am planning on reforming the trick-or-treaters by howling at them, while creeping about the yard, with assorted decorations to aid in the effect. I will also appear to be a werewolf who just happens to have a pipe poking out of his mouth. They almost never comment on the werewolf getup. Instead they notice the pipe. I think it's a question of expectation and norms. It is a sobering responsibility. I'm probably the only pipe smoking werewolf for hundreds of miles. Do you realize what that means? My uniqueness just crossed the Cda-US border with nary a shout of 'Hi how're ya doin'. Anybody know whether there is a pipe smoking werewolf in upper NY state or Vermont?
I'm in trouble now.

The guy in our church who has a sign beside his door that says "Youth Pastor" has eliminated Halloween from the calendar and replaced it with "Reformation Day."

The kids are constantly writing "HALLOWEEN!" over the calendar in red ink.

I love it.

In a gesture of goodwill to all my Protty CPS brethren, I will not be commenting further on this thread.

I know, I know... if I really loved you I wouldn't comment on any other threads, either. But I don't love you all that way. I just want to be friends and I think we should see other people.

Happy hollow weenie!

Love the new avatar.

We'll be having a bonfire/cookout that night at a local camp.

I wonder whether he chose October 31 just because he didn't want to have to go to Mass the next day...;)
And what is good, Phaedrus, and what is not good? Need we ask anyone to tell us these things?

We'll actually be using the organ that day in the worship service. I think it's mainly because the praise band doesn't have an arrangement of A Mighty Fortress Is Our God.
